Light on my Mini Cooper dashboard indicated “engine service due soon”. I therefore took the car in for service. Staff at precision said service was not due for another 5,000 miles. There was no bill when I picked up my car ;-) Staff at this business are professional: charge reasonable rates for service and are the most honest people in this world. How rare—I cannot rate them too highly!

I am so impressed by the level of service from this company. My car (Mercedes Benz) stopped in the middle of the road in Berkeley. I saw a tow company nearby and asked them if they could help, but their trucks were for motorcycles only. Luckily, that person suggested I call AG Precision Motors since the MB dealership had me on hold for so long, and I was looking for another option. Albert at Precision Motors not only helped me find a tow company that was nearby at the end of the work day on Friday, he offered to stay late to make sure my car was locked inside the shop space before he left for the weekend. He even sent me a picture of my car safely in the shop! Fast forward to Monday, he called me before 9 a.m. and had already diagnosed the problem. I had a failed started. I agreed to his estimate, the team got to work, and I picked up my car by 1 p.m. Monday. On top of all of this, the bill was less than his estimate. Super nice people all around. You can tell they really care about the work they do for others, and they will be my go to mechanics. If you are uncertain where to take your car for service, I would go here.

The team at AG really know their stuff! G, one of the owners, was able to diagnose an issue with our Mercedes that two other shops could not and for a deal that was unbelievably affordable. I can't express enough how knowledgeable, professional, and honest G comes across as he takes his time explaining his conclusions and ideas with us before attempting any repairs. One the the last truly honest auto technicians in the area if you ask me. Will definitely return and recommend to all!

Needed an alternator replacement on my E90 M3 during thanksgiving week. Not an Ideal time but they squeezed me in and got the job done. Very high quality of work, fair price, and a good eye for detail. Found a leak in the car that I hadn't noticed after recent rain and cleared out my sunroof drains. Great little shop, highly recommend.

I couldn't love a mechanic more. The guys here are professional, kind and fair. I trust them completely to not tell me if need something I don't. They've always squeezed me in when I've had an emergency and let me know how and what i can do to avoid future problems. The furry receptionist is a bonus.

AG Precision Motors is a breath of fresh air in these days of doubt and uncertainty. Who do we trust? I had just left an auto dealership after declining a service that was simply unaffordable for the moment. I wasn't questioning the quote, I was just sad it was so high. I happened upon AG Precision and the VW Bug icon caught my eye, so I rolled in for a 2nd opinion. Not only was the estimate about 50% less than the dealership quote, the work was completed in about 2 hours, and part of that 2 hrs was wait-time for the part. Gonzolo (G), helped me initially, he is one of the owners who is very friendly, and most importantly, non-judgmental about the original estimate. He did not upsell, he simply diagnosed the problem, gave me a price, and Zack took over and fixed it. Zack and Gonzolo are both straight-forward communicators, exuding honestly and good will. Like I said, it was a breath of fresh air. I am a now a customer, and a customer for life. Go see G, Zack and Albert for your mechanical needs, you won't regret it.

I had a great experience with Albert when my very intermittent problem appeared again 400 miles away from my SoCal home. As expected my anxiety of having to find a mechanic on December 30 just before the new year and expecting to drive as scheduled back to SoCal on January 5th. Found AG Precision Motors and Albert was extremely helpful and suggested to bring in the Mercedes for a quick diagnostic. With his experience he suggested that a likely problem with the accelerator pedal sensor was causing the lack of acceleration. And ever so lucky that the replacement part was available AND Albert was able to make the repair the very same day ! Yes Albert I made it home safely to Los Angeles AND scheduled an appointment with my local mechanic Sergio on replacing also the cam magnet which showed signs of oil leakage that you discovered. Thank you for being so gracious to make that effort to help me. For sure when I will be in the Bay Area visiting Mom I now won’t have to fret on where to go if anything happens to my Mercedes 1997 C230. Wishing you and Gonzalo and your staff a Happy New Year in 2026 !

I highly recommend this shop! Albert and his brother are incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and they go above and beyond to provide exceptional service and repairs at a very fair price! They were able to fix our Audi Q7 Brake Noise issue - a problem that seemed unfixable based on our dealings with Audi HQ and the Audi dealer service center (there was a class action lawsuit for this brake noise problem for 2015-2018 Q7 SUVs). They have been servicing our Audi and BMW for several years now and we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else for any general maintenance or repair!

I looked for a mechanic that I could trust for a long time. I was grateful to find Precision Motors and am so impressed with the clarity of description, prices and timing. Combined with a tidy shop, the honest under promise and over deliver attitude I am happy to say I have found my forever friends. The bonus is that my husband used to take his BMW to Eric, the former owner, and he was impressed that they are upholding the reputation and honesty of the former Precision Motors.

Im so glad I found this shop. The guys are super knowledgeable and great about explaining whats going on with my car, like I am capable of understanding (as a woman that is a HUGE deal!). I've had them work on multiple issues and always the work is completed quickly and the prices are affordable. They also work with insurance and have suggested things which help my overall car health. You never want to have to bring in your car to have work done but it feels good knowing they care about my car and the work they do. Thank you !
